Humanitarian Highlight 12/19: Ring-a-Ding-Ding
Do you know what makes the Christmas holiday so special? It allows for all to come together to help out those in need right before the holidays. Our #HumanitarianHighlight today is a bit longer because there is just so much that has happened within the credit union industry. It makes our hearts burst when we read all about what each credit union accomplished and how the pictures posted with the text shows how everyone is so happy and joyful. Thank you to all who take the time to create a #CUdifference and #CUmovement. Do you want to be featured in our next #HumanitarianHighlight? Just use the hashtag or send us a message via social media, and we will be more than happy to give your credit union a shout out!
With a heart of gold, Metro CU has given back to their community for the 8th year in a row by supplying beautiful and nutritious Thanksgiving baskets for local families in need. Amazing job, everyone!!
The best part about what WESTconsin CU has done is that they took time out of their day to help make a difference in someone else’s life. It also creates a broader range of appreciation for what that person or organization has done to help out the community. Employees from this credit union volunteered at Rolling Hills Equine, Inc. as part of the 80th Anniversary Kindness Counts.
“Equine-assisted therapy is useful for a wide range of mental health disorders including addiction, depression, anxiety, and trauma. Rolling Hills Equine Center provides a unique equine-assisted therapy program that uses the interaction with horses to offer clients a new way to connect with themselves, process their emotions and explore behaviors and relationship patterns that have become problematic in their day-to-day lives.
Horses are majestic, gentle creatures, and their sheer size and strength can stir deeply buried emotions in clients. Clients can bond with the animals and learn valuable lessons about respect, empathy, and communication that will help them in their recovery journey.” Rolling Hills Equine, Inc.
