Humanitarian Highlight 4/30/2020: Aspire
Hello! Are you hyped for another #HumanitarianHighlight? We are! With so much chaos in the world, it can be helpful to look on the bright side of things. If you or a credit union you know would like to be involved in one of our #HumanitarianHighlights, send us a direct message through social media!
Metro Credit Union in Massachusetts brought all their employees together to build beds for underprivileged children! The credit union partnered with the organization A Bed for Every Child, a Massachusetts based non-profit that aims to provide children in need with a comfortable place to sleep. Metro team members joined together to build bedframes for these kids. Way to go, guys!

As the COVID-19 crisis continues to evolve, services like food banks grow in importance. That’s why Advancial Federal Credit Union is doing such great work by helping out their local food banks. This credit union regularly hosts food drives, makes monetary donations, and even pays their employees for their volunteer hours! Keep up the great work, guys!
Peninsula Federal Credit Union in Michigan is leading the way in cash donations. They donated $700 worth of cash and gift cards to numerous causes and organizations in their community! Some of these included pregnancy resource services, local school lunch programs, Tri-County Safe Harbor, and more!
Meal programs that provide for low-income families in communities are so important. That’s why Capital Credit Union team members saw fit to donate their time by packing to-go lunches for The Banquet. This meal outreach program helps feed those facing hunger in North Dakota. In one day, they packed 250 lunches. Way to show the #CU spirit!

The COVID-19 crisis has dramatically impacted our communities; local restaurants, especially. Having their doors closed to the greater public can make things difficult. To combat this, Clearview Federal Credit Union of Pennsylvania purchased meals from many local businesses and gave them out to the healthcare workers serving the community on the front lines. Amazing!
Likewise, Houston Highway Credit Union in Texas supported a few of their local restaurants, too! They purchased pizzas and salads for team members hard at work at the branch. Thank you for giving back to your local community!
Commonwealth Credit Union of Kentucky is really doing their best to serve their community during these trying times. They delivered delicious catered meals from a local restaurant to the Louisville Metro Police Foundation. Fantastic!
