Humanitarian Highlight 8/6/20: Inspiring Change
Hi everyone, happy Thursday and happy #HumanitarianHighlight day! Each week we love to shine a spotlight on credit unions who have impacted their communities in a positive way. Whether it be donating essential items, taking time to volunteer for others, or inspiring change, we absolutely love to share their stories. Thank you to these awesome credit unions, and don't forget to DM us if there is a special CU you'd like to see featured!
The Sherwood Community is grateful to OnPoint Community Credit Union after donating $2,500 to In Kind Boxes, a local group of mothers who ensure essential items to new moms and their babies. Long-term supporters of Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, Tower Federal Credit Union has donated $30,900 to the center. Over the years, more than $750,000 total has been donated to the hospital through proceeds from TFCU’s annual golf tournament. Keep up the great work, Tower Federal CU!
Last month, UniWyo FCU treated the healthcare workers of the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Foundation to some delicious lunch from Silva’s Traveling Grill & Catering. Way to support frontline healthcare workers and local businesses at the same time, UniWyo!
Each month, Visions Federal Credit Union offers one lucky saver the chance to win some money by making deposits. Such a great opportunity for anyone in need of some extra cash during these uncertain times.
One of Delta County Credit Union’s favorite things to do is volunteer, and the team recently took to donating to the Mission of Hope Event. The event’s mission is to make everyone aware that there is HOPE out there, including groceries, school supplies, and much more for their community members!
