It’s hard to control our excitement for this year’s Montana’s Credit Unions Power Up conference (formerly the Annual Convention and Expo), which is being held May 17-19, 2017 at the Fairmont Hot Springs Resort in Anaconda, MT. The event celebrates the fact that “Credit Unions are Totally Rad,” with Montana’s Credit Unions Network’s (MCUN) 80th Annual Meeting, and promises to be a “Totally Tubular” time!
The conference is Montana`s Credit Unions’ largest annual onsite conference and is newly renamed “Power Up,” for 2017. This year, the conference agenda is totally flipped around. It starts with education all day Wednesday followed by the awards banquet Wednesday evening. Several MCUCD Fundraisers are planned Thursday, and the Expo starts Thursday evening.
Happenin’s for Radical Wednesday May 17
MCU CEO, Tracie Kenyon will kick things off by welcoming credit union representatives, followed by Judson Laipply’s keynote address, Life is Change. Judson Laipply has been described as an enigma wrapped in an anomaly contained inside a quandary. He combines comedy and content, laughter and learning, energy and engagement. His audience is set to receive both instant joy and a lasting impact.
Open forums specially designed for CEOs, Directors, and Staff are slated, as well as breakout sessions that cover topics in lending in a cooperative environment, the board calibration process, and the YP group. The MCUN 80th Annual Business meeting will take place Wednesday night followed by a reception and awards ceremony.
Take a Chill Pill on Thursday May 18
Montana Credit Unions for Community Development (MCUCD) is hosting dual fundraiser events to start the day off, one being Montana`s Credit Union Classic Golf Tournament. Both have a $120 registration fee and are sure to be a great time, while benefitting a great cause. The remainder of the day is the vendor exposition and dinner with live ‘80s entertainment by Song Blast.
Righteous Friday May 19, For Sure
The final day sports two prize events, while featuring an informative safety session on Active Shooter Response Training, and closes out with a gnarly motivational address by Holly Hoffman (Former Survivor Contestant) titled, Never Give Up – The Survivor Way.
