This event is an extraordinary opportunity for credit unions in the northwest region and beyond, to gather together and share their passion for the #CUMovement through breakout sessions, keynote speakers, trade shows, and fundraising events. So, what is different about this credit union event than any other? Well, it had plenty of thought-provoking questions to inspire innovation, providing extensive knowledge and connections to reach solutions!
As your credit union team members from Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and elsewhere gathered together and reviewed state, federal, and regional topics to enhance essential understanding on core aspects of the industry, the Northwest Credit Union Association’s MAXX Convention also recognized credit union leaders with the awards gala.

NWCUA President, Troy Stang, set the stage for MAXX 2019 at the opening general session by diving into the essential elements of the event and what to expect over the next few days, as well as 2020! This opener transitioned into a powerful presentation about the importance of communication and story-sharing in the credit union industry, to build trust and advocacy within communities.
After the inspiring start, attendees were let loose to take in the extraordinary array of credit union vendors at the trade show hall and the CU Pitch contest. many of the inspiring CUSOs, CU vendors, and credit union players! Which left everyone with anticipation for the continuation the following day.
With a delicious breakfast in their bellies, participants hopped into the general session: Knowledge is Power, which provided much-needed updates on the current economic climate and how to use this information for a strategic 2020. Credit union regulations also played a strong part at the conference with roundtables and upcoming the credit union industry.
In the end, the MAXX Conference held a dinner and silent auction by Credit Unions for Kids. In for their influential non-profit that donates to children’s medical hospitals and programs such as Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Fundraising events like the silent auction and masquerade ball support the core value of credit unions who highlight the #PeopleOverProfits mentality and strive to serve their communities to create a brighter future.
